In addition to Copilot cloud access, Microsoft said on 2026-10-07 that a 3-bit quantized version is available to download and run locally, with a 256K context window; Copilot local/cloud routing remains planned for experimental preview later in October. Microsoft has not listed the local version as a separate model or open weights.
